1. Blogger::  Blogger is really easy to use. I Recommend you to used blogger especially if you are new to Blogging World. It is 100% free.You can switch to .com for $10/year.There is no difference if you change to dot com.It is the same thing as you used to get before.It will just give you domain features.Blogger Support features like Google adsense and many more while wordpress does not.

2.Wordpress::  At starting almost all people use to start with Blogger. After they used it for a while and has knowledge about HTML Etc.They will choose Wordpress. Wordpress also provide free service. But it will not allow you to customize it unless you pay some fee.It has different plug-in which will help you to customize it easily.You can host your files within your domain.
